Opulent Apartmant in Brussels

The pictures below are trying to capture the design of an apartment in Brussels. The project belongs to Agence Andrée Putman and gives a new and modern meaning to contemporary living. There have been many opinions expressed regarding this interior design and this is one of them : “When Agence Andrée Putman designs a duplex for a Brussels heiress, it’s clear that women rule” (Judy Fayard). Everything in this apartment spelsl “opulence”. We will only give a few examples of elements that stand out: a 1966 chair by Eero Aarnio, a giant Murano glass necklace by Jean-Michel Othonie, a love seat by Satyendra Pakhalé and a lamp by Alessandro Mendini.The spiral stair case in the middle is the focal point of the apartment and leads up to the terrace pool. It’s amazing what adding a small colorful object can do to a place. And this is true for any room of the house, from the kitchen (green, purple and pink plates and baskets) to the living-room (purple puffs, bathroom or hallway. The designs come from Car Möbel, a German company- who ever though this “precise” nation could be so sensitive? This interior comes form Olle Rex, a company of “young and enthusiastic architects” from Sweden. The place is called “The Karlavagen 59″ and it is basically a king-size apartment which includes a huge balcony, no less than four bedrooms and a large living-room with modern furniture and a fireplace. The kitchen is classic with a table for eight in the middle and elegant white cupboards. Some colors are randomply spread through the apartment (in the form of pillows, wacky paintings and objects) for additional charm and a more joyful atmosphere. Desain Interior Apartemen Modern

Creative director of The Apartment Creative Agency,Stefan Boublil has recently completed the interior design for an apartment in Manhattan, New York. He combined 3 smaller apartments into one at one of new york city’s most coveted uptown addresses, with each single room constructed with a magnificent view of central park. Suited for a family of 4 with 2 children, the communal living spaces stands in between the master suite and the kids’ rooms, hidden behind the aforementioned trap door in the library, thereby providing a buffer of sight and sound. The kitchen and dining area is the only ones wrapped in waxed concrete thereby giving it a theatrical feel, especially when see from the rest of the apartment which is clad in bleached pine and subdued colors.
